I LOVED your segment on “Rechenka’s Eggs”! I teared up with you! We own (also from a beloved book sale at the library) “Thunder Cake” by P. Polacco. My boys get it off the shelf when a storm starts brewing here in stormy Florida. There’s a recipe on the last page for Thunder Cake! Secret ingredients and all……great author….
